President Obama was once quoted saying, ââ¬Å"By the end of this decade two in three job openings will require some higher education. Two in three. And yet, we still live in a country where too many Americans are priced out of the education they need.â⬠which is a pretty depressing statement to hear from our commander in chief regarding the future of the people. America is known for being the land of opportunity where typically the favored goal of the people is acquiring wealth for a better lifestyle and future. Growing up as a kid I was always told by my teachers and parents that higher education after high school is extremely necessary; this same expectation goes for the whole country as there is clearly emphasis on getting a college degree in order to be successful. Although college may not be for everyone, there are those who would really like to gain acceptance to an institution, but cannot because they do not have the money to do so. The rise in cost to be a college stud ent has become too expensive for a country that encourages, and emphasizes higher education. Tuition and fees, loans, and extra expenses become a big price to pay for wanting to play the proper role in society as a student looking for a better future. Todayââ¬â¢s college students have to deal with a huge financial decision at a very young age that leads to frustration and confusion which is caused by the inflating prices of college tuition.
